September 2021 NCC Education will returning to offer their our Football Development Centre programme at NCC campuses across London and Essex and this year that includes Havering Campuses

Students from the Havering campus studying a range of Sports Courses will now have access to the Tottenham Hotspur Football Development Centre where they will train up to 3 times per week with Tottenham Hotspur Global Football Development and Academy coaches. Students will also get to play competitive matches in local and national league competitions every Wednesday as part of their study Programme.

The programme offers educational qualifications for male and female students aged between 16 and 19. Each campus offers many different sports courses ranging from BTEC in Sport level 1, 2 and 3 to industry specific courses such as Sports Science, Coaching, P.E teaching, Fitness and Personal training and A-levels giving students a range of qualifications to choose from. We are also delighted to announce our Girls Football Development Centre is now available at five New City College campuses:

• Epping Forest Campus
• Havering Sixth Form Campus
• Hackney Campus
• Redbridge Campus
• Tower Hamlets Campus

Our Global Football Development team work to bring authentic coaching methods developed within the Club’s Academy, designed to help students reach their full potential. As part of the programme, the coaches monitor each player individually, giving them the opportunity to learn and develop their skills so they can play attacking football with the flair, fluidity and passion that are the hallmarks of the Club. This extension means that over 300 young sports men and women at the college will now benefit from professional training, sports industry preparation and work experience alongside a BTEC Diploma in Sport. 

Paul Griffiths, Tottenham Hotspur Football Development Centre Programme Head Coach, said: “We’ve already seen great levels of talent and success in our NCC Epping Forest trainees. We’re delighted that even more footballers across the New City College group will now be able to take part in the opportunities of the development programme. 

Current student, Molly, had this to say about the programme: “The Tottenham Hotspur Development Centre has been a great opportunity for me. I have been able to work alongside professional coaches and gain valuable experience from them. I have also enjoyed being a part of the Coaching Excellence Centre as it has helped me develop and improve my coaching skills. 

Football trial and taster session details: 

• Thursday 8th July at 6:30pm – 8:00pm 
  • Boys and girls (Will train separately – half pitch for boys and half pitch for girls) 
  • Ages 15 – 18 only(school year 11 -13) 
  • Noak Hill Sports Complex (Everyone Active) 4G pitch, Noak Hill Rd, Romford RM3 7YA 
  • Cost: Free of charge
