Dear Parents/Carers,
School will close today at 1.30 p.m. (after period 4 and before the second break). We have not taken this decision lightly, but feel obliged to do so because of significantly reduced student and staff attendance. We would like to ask our teachers to set work on Teams for the large number of absent students, and an early finish will give teachers the opportunity to do so.
We are also concerned about the precarious conditions prevailing on the road and paths outside of school, and on paths and play areas on the school site. While we will carefully manage the movement of students during break we think an early finish before second break would be prudent. Again, if you child needs to remain on site until 3 p.m. we will ensure they are accommodated and supervised.
We plan to open as normal tomorrow, although if conditions continue to be precarious we may well open in a fashion similar to today. We will let you know by 7.15 a.m. tomorrow.
