Makes 8
200g self-rising flour, 75g butter, 75g sugar, 75g chocolate chips or dried fruit, 1 egg (beaten)
Sieve flour into a bowl.
Add butter.
Rub together until combined and mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
Stir in sugar and chocolate chips.
Make a well in the mixture.
Add beaten egg.
Mix to form a soft dough.
Spoon mixture onto a baking tray.
Bake for 12-15mins or until golden in a preheated oven 200°C / gas 6.
