Dear Parents / Carers,

I am writing to thank you all for your continued support this term. We have done so well as a community over recent weeks, and have managed to keep disruption to a minimum in the face of adversity.

The students have been amazingly resilient, and have continued to be their usual lively, friendly selves as they have enjoyed school life and learning.

I hope you are all able to have a restful and enjoyable Christmas and New Year celebration with your family and friends, and to stay safe whilst doing so.

We are unsure of what January will bring, but as a school we are prepared for all eventualities:

• If schools remain open, we are ready to test all students on the 4 January. If we are testing the students before their return to school on 5 January, we ask that you bring / send your child in to school any time between 9.00am and 2.30pm to be tested in the sports hall. They will just come in for testing, and will go straight home after and so the whole testing time should be no more than 15 minutes per student. Face to face lessons will begin on the 5 January.
• If schools are instructed to lockdown, we will contact you on 4 January and update you with our plans for on line teaching. We’ll send home ‘How to…’ guides reminding you of how to access Teams and so on. Help will be on hand where necessary.
