MINECRAFT COMPETITION

There are several parts to this computer science task. You can simply download resources and tackle them on a computer or tablet. Alternatively, you can print most off the tasks off and complete away from the computer.

There are some tasks that are best tackled using a computer. These include accessing the “code.org” website and completing the pixel art spreadsheet by typing the number that corresponds to a colour.

Code.org programming task

For this task you’re going to learn the basics of computer science by programming characters (Alex or Steve) to move through a simulated piece of a Minecraft world.

Students should tackle at least ONE Minecraft activity of their choice from:

  1. Minecraft Voyage Aquatic
  2. Minecraft Hero’s Journey
  3. Minecraft Adventurer
  4. Minecraft Designer
